Leave a space for God

Leave a space for God, they say

But how can you leave a space

for the one who encompasses all space.

He is around us, above and below us

He hems us in on every side

and fills our very being.

He is the continuum.

Things change, we say time marches on

People change, we blame events or

just the passage of time.

But time is nothing to God

He alone remains constant

Unchanged by the changing of the season

Unaffected by events

His love is wider and bigger and deeper than space

So, rather than leaving space for him

we are invited to enter his space

and be with him, where he is.
