The churchyard at St. Mary's Shephall is a pleasant place to stroll through.  Please respect the graves and surroundings as you walk through, and do take time to soak up the atmosphere of this quiet place, in the midst of the noise and bustle of a large town.

Grave of Thomas Hampson Olympic Gold Medallist in 1932 This is the grave of a very famous Stevenage character, Thomas Hampson who was an Olympic Gold medallist in 1932.

He was also a church warden at St. Mary's Shephall
