Welcome

Welcome to the revised new look home page of the Church of St Mary Aston designed to bring you all the updates and Church activities during the Coronavirus pandemic when we are unable to meet.

Due to the ongoing risk from the Coronavirus official guidance has been revised by the Church of England.  With great sadness as well as understanding, we have, from the  Bishop of St Albans,  been instructed  to close the church building until instructed to do otherwise.

Church is no the building its the peopleThat doesnt mean that St Marys, or any other church in the Benefice, has shut up shopChurch is the people and will continue as we pray worship and care in Gods name and support each other in our homes. In particular, whilst we are not able to gather together in person, the work of worship and prayer to God continues and never ceases, nor does our ministry and care for our congregation and the whole community. Please be assured of our prayers each day and if there is anything in particular you would like us to pray for please email the Rector, Revd Jenny Gray, at jennygrayrectory@gmail.com

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU... If you would like to offload how you are feeling to someone outside your family, or if you need help, we are here. If you would like to chat with Rev Jenny or other members of the Ministry Team, please call: Rector: Rev Jenny Gray: 01920 830035 email jennygrayrectory@gmail.com

KEEP IN TOUCH... Even though our church buildings are closed we are finding new ways to join in prayer, worship and practical support online and over the phone. If you are not on our church email or postal update list please contact Rev Jen to receive a Weekly newsletter and sermon. Try it...You can unsubscribe at any time.

‘Brother, sister, let me serve you, let me be as Christ to you
Pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant to.’

‘When I needed a neighbour were you there, were you there? When I needed a neighbour were you there? And the creed and the colour and the name don’t matter, were you there? (Trad hymn)

On Sunday mornings, wherever we are, at the time we would usually meet to worship, we could light a candle to remember one another, say the special prayer for the week (Collect) and Lord’s Prayer, reflect on the readings and sermon sent by email, and here on our website, pray about the News our ‘low – tech’ version of ‘virtual church’.

Please take care, take all the precautions you can to stay safe and well.
